These bundles include everything you need to tether your powered subwoofers to the studwork in your home for optimal room integration.
Use this bundle if you prefer Low-level connections (RCA or XLR) to connect your subwoofers to the rest of your sound system.
Products in this bundle include:
SubLuv Solo. Use this furniture to tether your powered subwoofer to the studwork in your floor for optimal room integration.
SubLuv Encore. Use this furniture to elevate your powered subwoofer and tether it to the studwork in your wall for optimal room integration.
Sonically Transparent Distribution Amplifier. Use this distribution amplifier to feed as many as 8 subwoofers. Works in the same way that a preamp works to feed an amp. Has two low-level stereo audio inputs, one RCA and one XLR. Distributes the signal. Has a switch to create a mono subwoofer signal (left and right inputs are summed) if your sound system lacks a subwoofer output. Does not have a volume pot, use the volume pot on your powered subwoofers to adjust the volume. A "snake cable" with 8 outputs is included.
Extra Long Low-level Cables. Good quality low-level cables to connect to the distribution amplifier to the number of subs you select. Included RCA cables are 30-feet. Included XLR cables are 50-feet.
Some rooms will sound better with four or more powered subwoofers. For tethering more than three subs, all furniture products in this bundle are also sold separately.
Please see our free e-books (coming soon...) for tips and more subwoofer placement options.
If You Have Three Powered Subs - Use our furniture for asymmetrical subwoofer placement to reduce or eliminate problems with nulls (bass cancellation) and standing waves (bass doubling). Our favorite placement option for most rooms is one subwoofer tethered to the floor and two subwoofers elevated.
Our favorite locations:
- First sub elevated to ceiling-height centered on the left or right wall.
- Second sub elevated to shoulder-height on the opposite side of the room in a corner as close as possible to the front or rear wall, either one, based on the room's aesthetics.
-
Third sub on the floor as close as possible to the remaining front or rear wall and centered.
- That is, if the second sub is elevated to shoulder-height on either side of the room in the corner close to the rear wall, then the third sub is on the floor close the front wall and centered. Or vice versa.
If you want two subwoofers on the floor and one subwoofer elevated these are excellent locations:
-
First sub as close as possible to any wall and centered.
- Second sub as close as possible to the opposite wall and centered.
- Third sub anywhere else you like in terms of aesthetics.
- Pick one sub to elevate to shoulder-height or ceiling-height.
